This set of six Moving Monsters KS2 DT lessons for Year 3 has everything you need to teach this fun, fascinating and sometimes frightening scheme of work! Your class will have the chance to get to grips with pneumatic systems before designing, making and evaluating their own monster with moving parts.

This pneumatics KS2 planning pack contains all the lessons, slideshow presentations and printable resources (including worksheets, picture cards and more) you need to teach your Year 3 class how to create their own moving monsters. Each lesson comes with a range of differentiated activities so that all children can access the learning, and there's also an alternative activity so there's plenty of options for their independent work. All you need to do is download, teach and watch as their moving monsters take shape!

 
Lesson 1

Air Objects

The first lesson in this module looks at familiar objects that use air to make them work, such as whistles, bicycle pumps and party blowers, and studies what the air does and how it has been used in the design of the products.
